Amsterdam

This picture is from a show i did called Vrije Geluiden live in Amsterdam. I remember asking the makeup lady who was the craziest person she ever had to work with on the show and she said “Kanye West”!!! Kanye was on this show! Now me. So cool!! Anyways, so many years have passed since this moment. This was late 2006 and on sellaband.com i was almost at 50K! Sellaband flew me and my wife out to Amsterdam to play a show at the paradiso when only a week from this date we raised like 8K in 4 days! So fun! All this money was funded by amazingly kind people from around the world known on sellaband.com as “Believers”. They “believed” in my music and all that money went to making an album in 2007!

Since 2007 and my first acoustic debut in Amsterdam i have returned to Europe 6 times to perform! Performing on stages that my musical Heroes like Bob Marley, Oasis, Coldplay, Damien Rice, Jack Johnson…the list goes on! Not only once but 3 times I’ve been on both stages of the Paradiso thanks to sellaband and my believers! Even though i am no where near as successful as my musical heroes are, i feel i still have much to offer the world musically. If i didn’t i don’t think i would have had the chances I’ve previously had. It’s almost just a mater of repetition which is my plan. Do something over and over again successfully and something bound to turn into a good thing.

I know this is an old event but it was my start and motivation into this musical world. Now that i have a website where i feel i can share these things with you, I’m going to be doing a little time traveling with my blogs from then to now as i continue to bring you more music and open more windows to perform and be heard.

Thank you so much for connecting with me on my website and for listening to my music. BIG thanks for my old believers and those of you who still believe in me! One love and Aloha!!!

Pim the found of sellaband.com and I being interviewed on Vrije Geluiden. Pim is the man and now has started another great musical site called Africa Unsigned. www.africaunsigned.com
